Windowman UK Ltd:Our Projects: Tamworth Council

In 2002 WindowmanUK Ltd was awarded a multi million pound Partnering Agreement by Tamworth Borough Council, replacing timber and single glazed windows with PVCu security windows and composite doors into it’s housing stock.
This ongoing Partnering Agreement has been a success boasting completion of the schedule of works well in advance of the planned timescale and well within budget, thus allowing additional properties to be included within the project.
We developed and continued to maintain a strong tie between all key partnership personnel, which includes the ‘ultimate clients’ the residents, who are part of the partnering process. The early creation of a Core Project Team was essential in order that adoption of a set of agreed principles could be created and a structured plan for adhering to the requirements of the agreement. Equally the arrangements of joint workshops for all key members of the project teams from all parties was essential in understanding and appreciating the needs, aspirations and business drivers of each contract member.
Quote posted on the Audit Commission Website: “Tenant satisfaction with capital improvements is high. Overall, 92% of tenants surveyed were either very satisfied or satisfied with the capital improvement work. This ranged from 100% for windows and doors to 91.5% for 'other areas'.”
Conclusion: A professional project with a leading approach to Partnering which has been able to meet the needs of both the client and residents, with customer satisfaction levels for this project being outstanding (please refer to audit commission website www.audit-commission.gov.uk) ‘Report 8th December 05, Repairs & Maintenance, Paragraph 74.
